Boeheim’s Army, the Syracuse alumni team hosting The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) regional at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College from July 19-23, today announced the roster addition of Syracuse alum Jimmy Boeheim.

Jimmy Boeheim joins his brother Buddy on Boeheim’s Army roster, where their father, Jim Boeheim, will serve as Head Coach Emeritus. Elijah Hughes, Chris McCullough and Rakeem Christmas have also committed to play for Boeheim’s Army this summer. Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks.

Jimmy Boeheim will play in his third TBT this summer, making appearances for Boeheim’s Army in 2022 and 2023.

Jimmy Boeheim spent one year at Syracuse (2021-22) after spending the first three years of his college career at Cornell. Jimmy averaged 13.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game at Syracuse, starting all 33 games alongside his brother Buddy.

After leaving Syracuse, Jimmy Boeheim has played professionally in Greece, the Czech Republic, and Germany, most recently playing for BG Gottingen in the German Bundesliga.

The winner of the Syracuse Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3.

For the first time, TBT will give each host team the opportunity to have home court advantage for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the $1 million championship game. Should two regional hosts face off, the tie breaker will be determined by which host sells 4,000 tickets the fastest.
