Carmen’s Crew, Led by William Buford and Kaleb Wesson, to Headline TBT’s Indianapolis Regional July 19-22.
INDIANAPOLIS (June 18, 2025) – The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX networks – will see the return of Carmen’s Crew, the Ohio State alumni team. Carmen’s Crew returns as the $1 million champions from last summer’s tournament, and will headline the Indianapolis Regional at Hinkle Fieldhouse on July 19-22.
Carmen’s Crew will be led by a core of former Buckeyes with TBT championship experience, including William Buford, Kaleb Wesson, Keyshawn Woods, and Trevor Thompson. Buford, the 2019 TBT MVP, returns to the roster for the first time since 2021. Kaleb Wesson, a standout from last year’s title-winning squad, averaged 11 points per game and scored 15 points in the $1 million championship. Also rejoining the squad is fan favorite Jeff Gibbs.
Carmen’s Crew returns to TBT as one of the tournament’s most accomplished franchises. With championships in 2019 and 2024, the team has built a legacy of winning and high-level play. Over the years, the roster has featured Ohio State legends such as Aaron Craft, Jared Sullinger, and David Lighty, among others. Once again, Carmen’s Crew will proudly represent The Ohio State University as they look to defend their title and add another championship to their storied TBT run.
Joining Carmen’s Crew in the Indianapolis Regional are two hometown favorites: Assembly Ball, the Indiana alumni team led by Yogi Ferrell and Race Thompson, and All Good Dawgs, the Butler alumni squad headlined by Shelvin Mack.
The winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 27. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3.
