INDIANAPOLIS, March 26, 2025 – The Basketball Tournament (TBT), the 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event, announced today that Indianapolis will once again serve as one of the regional locations for the 2025 event, hosted by Butler University. All Good Dawgs, the Butler alumni team, and Assembly Ball, the Indiana alumni team, will both return as the featured teams in the eight-team Indianapolis Regional.

The 2025 Indianapolis Regional will be played at Hinkle Fieldhouse on July 18-23.

In 2024, Shelvin Mack, Sean McDermott, and All Good Dawgs advanced to the second round, defeating Fail Harder in their TBT debut before eventually falling to Eberlein Drive.

“There is nothing better than experiencing basketball at iconic Hinkle Fieldhouse,” said Butler Vice President and Director of Athletics Grant Leiendecker. “The return of the TBT to Hinkle once again provides our great fans with the opportunity to support some of their favorite Bulldogs through the All Good Dawgs team. We’re excited to welcome the event back to Hinkle in July.”

“We love Hinkle Fieldhouse,” said TBT founder and CEO Jon Mugar. “Our event is modeled after the Indiana High School Tournament featured in Hoosiers, which was a seminal movie in my childhood. We look forward to seeing Butler and Indiana alumni teams taking the floor this July.”

Assembly Ball made their TBT debut last summer led by Yogi Ferrell, Race Thompson, and Juwan Morgan. The Indiana alumni defeated The Cru (Valparaiso Alumni) and Men of Mackey (Purdue Alumni), before falling to Eberlein Drive in the regional championship game. Ferrell led the team with 20.3 points and 5.7 assists per game.

All Good Dawgs and Assembly Ball will make additional roster announcements in the spring via their social media pages, @AllGoodDawgsTBT and @TBTAssemblyBall.

The winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to the TBT Quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and the TBT $1 Million Championship will be played on Aug. 3.

For the first time, TBT will give each host team the opportunity to have home court advantage for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the $1 million championship game. Should two regional hosts face off, the tie breaker will be determined by which host sells 4,000 tickets the fastest.

Tickets for the 2025 Indianapolis Regional will go on sale May 6. Fans can sign up for ticket and team notifications at tbthoops.com/tickets/notifications.
