Davon Reed tallied a team-high 21 points, and Category 5 clamped down on the favored Red Scare in a 76-69 upset. Reed, who went 8-for-14 from the field, also posted team highs in both rebounds (8) and steals (3). Rion Brown, whose game-high 18 points led the way in a Round 1 win, once again contributed 18 points and added seven rebounds in the University of Miami alumni squad’s win. Darrell Davis, Jr. poured in a game-high 29 points on 9-for-13 shooting in the losing effort for the Red Scare, a University of Dayton alumni squad which was unable to make its third straight appearance in the Round of 16.
