After inking a 10-day contract with the Nets, TBT alum Mike James has had an impressive start to his time in Brooklyn.

In his first game with the team, he scored 8 points while playing the whole fourth quarter en route to a win over the Boston Celtics.

Through 9 games, James has averaged 15.4 minutes of playing time.

Over that nine-game stretch, his quality play off the bench has kept the Nets within three games of the Philadelphia 76ers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

James has shown the league that he can play significant minutes and get buckets.

In his fifth game with the team, he scored 15 points and 3 assists in a tough loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.

He also nearly picked up a double-double in 21 minutes of playing time with 11 points and 8 assists in a win against the Toronto Raptors.

Last Sunday, the Nets decided to extend James’ contract for the rest of the season.

If he is able to continue his quality minutes and consistent scoring, there is a chance that TBT fans could get to watch him take the floor for the Nets in the playoffs.

Will Mike James continue to help Brooklyn in their push for the top spot in the East?
