Craig Sword drilled a three-pointer from the wing to cap a wild Elam Ending and send Team 23 to the Round of 16 following a 74-71 victory over Herd That. Sword, who finished with 13 points and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, took a pass from Walt Lemon, Jr. and elevated over the defender before unleashing his game-winning shot to end a hotly-contested second-round matchup in front of mostly Herd That fans. Raphiael Putney led the way with 15 points in the win for Team 23, which never trailed and led by as many as 14 points. Jon Elmore led all scorers with 28 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in the losing effort for Herd That, a Marshall University alumni squad whose bench was outscored 31-4.
