Jacob Young poured in 25 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, and Garrett Sim hit two free throws to hit the Elam Ending target score in a 79-78 Always Us win over the upstart Jackson Underdawgs. Young hit 57% (11-for-19) of his shots in the win for the University of Oregon alumni squad, which advances to Round 2 for the second straight summer. Marquis Weddle (17 points) and Leland Robinson (16 points) each reached double figures in the loss for Jackson, which failed in its quest for a repeat upset after sending House of Paign home last summer.
