Dayton Regional Final Preview: (1) The Money Team vs. (3) Red Scare

,

Two teams that have each had success in TBT before try to take one more step towards the elusive $1 million prize.

The Money Team’s offense runs through guard Jimmer Fredette, former national Player of the Year at BYU and NCAA scoring champion. Fredette’s 29.2 points per game rank as tops in TBT history. Mitchell Creek (16.5 ppg) and Trevor Booker (12.5 ppg) join Fredette as scoring threats. Booker (8.5 rpg) and Creek (7.5 rpg) also clean up on the boards.

The Red Scare will feed off the home crowd’s energy. Coming off a disappointing Round 2 exit last summer, the University of Dayton alumni squad brought a deep and talented squad into this summer. Jordan Sibert, whose game-winner knocked out the Golden Eagles in Round 2, leads the way at 14.5 ppg. Josh Cunningham controls the paint, averaging a team-high eight rebounds per game.
