The Omaha Regional championship game pits two teams with TBT-tested veterans with an eye on the $1 million prize. Tyrese Reese, the 2020 leading scorer and Most Valuable Player who led Boeheim’s Army to last summer’s title, will have the ball in his hands a lot for the Gutter Cat Gang. Boston College’s leading scorer in both his junior and senior seasons and ranked fifth on the school’s all-time scoring list, Rice can score in bunches and is due for a breakout game after being held in check at 10.5 points per game through the first two games. QJ Peterson, a two-time TBT participant, has emerged as a scoring threat this summer, averaging a team-high 18 points. Jaylen Barford once again leads the way for Team Arkansas. Playing in his fourth TBT, Barford has once again brought his physicality and intensity to the court, leading the University of Arkansas alumni squad at 19 points per game. Chris Coffey, playing in his second TBT, has complemented Barford. Coffey’s 16 points and 13 rebounds were critical in the Round 2 win over the Omaha Blue Crew.
