(6) Eberlein Drive vs. (2) Forever Coogs (Houston), 7p EDT, Daskalakis Athletic Center

The first semi-final matchup pits one of two remaining teams from the inaugural TBT in 2014 against a first-time entrant already making its mark in the annual summer chase for the $1 million prize.

Eberlein Drive, named after General Manager Jacob Hirschmann’s street in Fraser, Michigan, has rebounded from back-to-back first-round exits and pulls into Philadelphia coming off a second-half trouncing of the Happy Valley Hoopers in the quarterfinal round. This team can beat you in a variety of ways. Anthony Clemmons and Tyler Stone each average 16.5 points per game to lead five players averaging in double figures. Stone cleans up around the hoop as well, averaging a team-best six rebounds per game.

For a team making its TBT debut this summer, the Forever Coogs look right at home. Winners of the Houston Regional, the University of Houston alumni squad is armed with weapons across the floor. Former Cougar Rob Gray (20.5 ppg) has been one of TBT’s top performers, and Devin Davis (9.5 ppg) headlines four players averaging at least 8.5 points per game.

(2) La Familia (Kentucky) vs. (3) Carmen’s Crew (Ohio State), 9p EDT, Daskalakis Athletic Center

Two storied college hoops programs take center stage in the nightcap of the semi-final matchups in Philadelphia.

La Familia might be making its first TBT appearance, but the University of Kentucky alumni squad has fit right in with its high-intensity approach. Nate Sestina’s team-high 22 points, including five three-pointers in the third quarter alone, eliminated host The Ville in a hard-fought quarterfinal matchup in front of a TBT-record 13,000-plus fans at Freedom Hall in the quarterfinals. Kerem Kanter (18.8 ppg) and Willie Cauley-Stein (9.3 ppg) anchor the middle. Former NBA guard Eric Bledsoe (15.5 ppg) and Sestina (15.0 ppg) can score from anywhere. Twins Andrew (11.0 ppg) and Aaron Harrison (7.3 ppg) are also threats. The Wildcats’ alumni squad gets to the line, averaging 24.5 attempts per game from the charity stripe, third in TBT.

Carmen’s Crew advances to the City of Brotherly Love looking to capture the magic from its 2019 title run in which the Ohio State alumni squad handed Overseas Elite its first-ever loss en route to Carmen’s Crew’s lone TBT title. Five players for the Buckeyes alumni squad average in double figures, led by Jamel Morris at 11.0 points per game. Carmen’s Crew distributes the basketball, averaging 19.0 assists per game, second in TBT.
