Tyrese Rice made millions of dollars playing overseas (and a nice bonus in TBT), but that’s far from his final act.
Since retiring from pro ball at the end of last season, the Boeheim’s Army star has turned his attention to getting his masters degree in health psychology.
In an interview with the EuroLeague, Rice said he wanted to study psychology “to understand people and why they think the way that they do, so you can help them.”
Helping people is the theme of Rice’s Trusted Legacy organization, which is “committed to providing youth and young adults with lifelong skills that can be used to achieve their dreams. We work to equip our youth, their families, and communities with the support, resources, and opportunities needed to secure success academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.” The organization has hosted basketball clinics, coat drives, educational seminars, school supplies giveaways and more to help enrich the youth in Houston.
