Sneed to make TBT debut This Summer for Showdown with Kansas
Purple Reign, the Kansas State alumni team, today announced that Xavier Sneed will join the roster for their best-of-three series against JHX Hoops (Kansas alumni).
Sneed joins Michael Beasley as the team’s first two roster commitments. Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks. This summer’s tournament will be the first time Sneed has appeared for Purple Reign.
Sneed starred at Kansas State from 2016-20, starting 104 of 137 career games. He earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors in both his junior and senior seasons. The 28-year-old spent parts of two seasons in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, and Charlotte Hornets before embarking on a career overseas. He’s spent the last three seasons playing in Italy, most recently for Pallacanestro Cantú for the 2025-26 season.
As part of the best-of-three series between JHX Hoops and Purple Reign, both teams will have a chance to host at least one home game. The first game of the series will take place at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan Tuesday, July 21, at 8 pm CT, and will be televised live on FS1. Game two will be played at Lee Arena in Topeka (JHX Hoops designated home gym) Wednesday, July 22, at 7 pm CT and will be televised live on FS2.
Game three (if necessary) will be played back at Bramlage on Friday, July 24, at 8 pm CT and will be streamed live on YouTube.
